Children at 7 get Type 2 Diabetes

Malaysian children as young as 7 are developing type 2 diabetes early. While Type 2 diabetes was only common for adults above 45, the western lifestyle and diet, are seriously affecting our children today.

Children who are at risk are overweight, usually the youngest in the family, have a family history, have high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Some symptoms of type 2 diabetes include

a) general tiredness and lethargy for no reason.
b) excessive thirst
c) frequent urination, especially at night
d) unexplained weight loss
e) blurred vision
f) skin infections and itching in the genitals
g) numbness or burning sensations in fingers and toes
h) slow healing of cuts and wounds.

The International Diabetes Federation estimated in 2006 that Type 2 diabetes in children was expected to grow by 50% within 15 years. In 2007, 500,000 new diabetes cases were recorded in Malaysia alone.

While it's difficult to change the diet and habits of children (or even adults), it's easy to add a delicious orange flavoured fibre drink like Bioslife (from age 4) or Bioslife Slim ( for the overweight kids age 6 and above) 10 mins before their main meal.

Bioslife is the only safe, patented and clinically proven fibre drink to manage healthy cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar levels naturally, within 60 days.

So do you know your cholesterol and blood sugar numbers yet?. It only costs RM25 / S$19 for a subsidised blood test at Gribbles (Msia) or Raffles Medical Group (Spore). It's time to get everyone tested, as prevention is always cheaper than the cure. Contact me for your subsidized blood test vouchers at Gribbles.

Or just invest in Bioslife today and you can prevent diabetes, heart attacks and strokes within your whole family including your kids, as young as 6.
