How to identify a STRoke when it happens
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine and just tripped because of her new shoes. While she appeared a bit shaken up, she went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.
Her husband called later saying that his wife had been taken to the hospital and passed away. She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps she would be with us today. Some stroke victims don't die, they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within three hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke . . . totally. He said the trick was having a stroke recognized, diagnosed and then getting the patient medically cared for within three hours, which is tough.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE: Remember the "3" steps. Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Doctors say, a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK, to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE. (Coherently) (i.e. . It is sunny out today)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS .
NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue . if the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke. If he or she has trouble with any one of these tasks, call 911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to ten people, you can bet at least one life will be saved.
Or better yet, drink your Bioslife everyday, and prevent Stroke from ever happening to you and your loved ones.

Understanding Hypertension
This information is extracted from our Blueprints for Healthy Living authored by Dr Gordon Pedersen.
Symptoms of High Blood Pressure (HBP):-
HBP exists when there is too much pressure being exerted on the walls of the arteries during the pumping action of the heart. when there is high pressure in the arteries, it is dangerous because the heart must pump with greater force, this increased force can produce leaking blood vessels, hear or organ damage and /or even ruptured vessels. One in 10 people has high blood
pressure today and is the best indicator of cardiovascular disease.
The most common symptoms of advanced hypertension include dizziness, rapid pulse, sweating abnormally, tension, headache, visual disturbances and frequent nosebleeds.
Causes:
Factors that contribute to hypertension include a genetic predisposition, obesity, diet, high blood cholesterol, smoking, alcohol, stress, drug abuse and a sedentary lifestyle
Complementary therapies
A basic healthy lifestyle can reduce blood pressure especially if you sleep sufficiently, eat a fibre rich diet, exercise, drink purified water & supplement with fibre, Coenzyme Q10, vitamin E, Calcium, Magnesium & Omega 3 oil
It is essential to avoid dietary fats, alcohol, tobacco and refined sugar.
A safe and effective Program based on budget
Salmon Omega 3 oil
- softens hardened arteries and smoothens inside walls of arteries. Thousands of documented studies show Omega 3 oil assists the body, brain, skin, heart & eyes in so many different ways.
Calcium Magnesium complex
- deficiencies have been shown to lead to high blood pressure. Calcium Magnesium in the right formulation and in chelated form reduces plaque build up in the arteries
Bioslife (delicious fibre drink mix)
- the only safe and natural alternative to drugs that is clinically proven to reduce cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels within 2 months.

Stomach, Hips, Arms & Thighs
A never ending struggle to keep it looking the same as when you were 21!
Over the last week, I’ve a girl mid 20s, a career lady early 40s and my aunt a grandmother at 60s looking for advice. I guess I must still be in good shape at 48!. Hehehehe.
Forget about starvation, walking, exercise, and dieting – they all don’t work.
The basic principle is, if input is more than output, then the excess calories, are stored around your stomach, hips, arms and thighs. Over the last 8 years, I’ve helped so many people stay trim.
Today, with just Nature’s Tea and Bioslife, within days, you enjoy more energy, slim down, sleep better and have more confidence looking good. More importantly, naturally and safely manage your cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and prevent colon cancer too.
Oh yeah, it’s hard work to drink your Bioslife before lunch and dinner and your Nature’s Tea before sleeping. So are you disciplined enough to give a final shot to solve your lifelong struggle?.

Choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea
Either way, you lose. So what’s the deal?.
I just heard that in Australia, they are promoting that all healthy women over 50 should start taking Aspirin. The reason being, Aspirin will reduce their risk of heart disease (actually the test done was with diabetics – but this was left out in the report). But with only one major side effect – you will get stomach ulcers. The other side effects like dizziness, ringing in the ears & vomiting, will not cause major organ damage, so that was not an issue. http://www.aspirin-foundation.com/what/100.html
But the report stated – its ok – stomach ulcers treatment is easy and not as expensive as heart disease. So which would you choose?
The base ingredient of aspirin is an active chemical from the bark of the White Willow tree. But no one can patent a plant or control it’s production, There is a plant for every illness, if taken in its whole form – not isolating its active ingredients.
So our grandparents were right – eat this root, this leaf, this fruit, this bark and this nut, and you will live a healthy life to 120.
I am biased, because I have the only safe, clinically proven and patented product in the world, for complete cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar care.
And given a choice of my heart or liver damage or my heart and stomach ulcers or my heart and colon cancer, I would certainly want to keep all my organs healthy and choose BiosLife.
You have a side effect free option today, so you don’t need aspirins, statins, heart attacks, strokes or other complications from diabetes.
Choose BiosLife and add healthful Years to your life, and vibrant Life to your years

BiosLife and BiosLife Complete are 2 names of the same product, as certain Asian countries, do not allow the word Complete in a food supplement.

It's not just for men...
Women & heart attacks – British Heart Foundation
http://www.bhf.org.uk/doubtkills/what_to_look_out_for/women__heart_attacks.aspx
Coronary Heart Disease - it's not just for men...
In general, women don't believe they'll get coronary heart disease. They tend to see it as a disease for men. At the same time, women have a heightened awareness of their risk of developing breast cancer.
Yet heart disease and disease of the blood vessels together claim twice as many women’s lives as all forms of cancer. In 2004, CHD was responsible for the deaths of 47,287 women, compared to 12,338 deaths from breast cancer.
So why don't women see heart disease as an issue for them? Very often men, rather than women, are often portrayed in the media as the victims of heart attack.
Female celebrities who develop breast cancer also often dominate women’s health media, giving an impression that women are at more risk from breast cancer than heart disease.
Yet statistically, women are four times more likely to die from a heart problem than from breast cancer.
Women also believe that their female hormones provide them with protection against heart disease. It's true that pre-menopausal women have some protection against heart disease, but does not mean they are immune from it.
Women who smoke, or those who are very overweight, will increase their risk of heart attack no matter what their age.
Women can also experience different symptoms to men. They're less likely to display the 'classic' symptoms of angina and heart attacks than men.
Therefore, women often don’t recognise the symptoms of a heart attack as easily as men, and often arrive at hospital too late for vital treatment that can protect the heart from further damage.
It was previously thought that Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) provided some protection against heart disease in menopausal women. But research now shows this is not the case. It should not be prescribed solely to reduce a woman’s risk of developing heart disease.
Every man and woman over 40 should do their cholesterol test every 6 months, or just reduce your risk of developing coronary heart disease, by using BiosLife everday.

Cholesterol needed for Brain and sex hormones
Cholesterol in the Brain and Body
The brain has a higher cholesterol content than any other organ. In fact, about 25 percent of the body's cholesterol is found in this small organ, which accounts for less than 2 percent of the body's weight.
Despite its well-deserved notoriety as a cause of heart disease, cholesterol is essential for human health. It’s the building block of steroid hormones, including the stress hormone cortisol and the male and female sex hormones, including testosterone and the estrogens.
Cholesterol is also an essential component of the membranes that surround all human cells. More than simply holding cells together, these membranes have a crucial role in regulating cell function and allowing chemicals to pass into and out of cells. Because cholesterol is so vital, the body doesn’t rely on diet to provide it. In fact, most of the cholesterol in the blood is manufactured in the liver.
Strict vegetarians who don't get any dietary cholesterol have admirably low blood cholesterol levels that reduce their risk of heart disease while providing plenty of cholesterol to keep their cells happy and their hormones flowing.
So do check your cholesterol levels today, and you can increase the good HDL and reduce the bad LDL with BiosLife.

Cholesterol in Alzheimer's Disease
Role of Cholesterol in Alzheimer’s disease is Being Studied, Reports the Harvard Men’s Health Watch
It sounds simple: The lower your cholesterol, the better your heart health. In fact, on this subject, your heart and your head may agree. The relationships among cholesterol levels, psychological function, and neurologic disorders are complex and sometimes controversial, reports the March 2007 issue of Harvard Men’s Health Watch.
Two Major Forms of Dementia
There are two major forms of dementia: vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Vascular dementia results when blood vessel damage deprives the brain of oxygen. Brain cells die as a result, and mental function suffers.
Some studies link high cholesterol levels to an increased risk of cognitive impairment. More research is needed to sort this out, but even now, investigations of HDL (good) cholesterol and mental function have consistently reported that high HDL levels appear to help preserve mental function in older people.
The Connection Between Alzheimer’s Disease and Cholesterol is Complex
Scientists have learned that much of the damage of Alzheimer’s comes from deposits of a sticky protein, called beta-amyloid, in vital areas of the brain. In some studies, high cholesterol levels appear to accelerate the formation of beta-amyloid plaques. People with the genetic trait that increases the level of a particular cholesterol transport protein have a greatly increased risk of late-onset Alzheimer’s.
Can Statins Reduce the Risk of Alzheimer’s disease?
In the most recent studies, people who took statins did not appear to be at lower risk for the disease. Additional research is under way. For now, it’s too early for firm conclusions about the relationships among cholesterol, cognitive function, and statin therapy.
The Alzheimer Disease—Bios Life Connection
Results from numerous clinical studies show that Bios Life is very effective in improving overall cholesterol levels.
Bios Life has proven to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol by an astounding 31 percent. Some test participants reported decreases more than 52 percent!
What’s equally amazing is that the average increase of HDL (good) cholesterol was 29 percent, with some achieving increases of up to 85 percent! Keep in mind that statin drugs have little or no effect on good cholesterol. What’s more, if you’re already treating your cholesterol levels with prescription statins, Bios Life will help you reduce your LDL cholesterol even further.
In addition to improving LDL and HDL levels, Bios Life lowers triglycerides—the form in which most fat exists in food as well as in your body and blood. Bios Life has also proven to stabilize blood sugar levels. No other supplement is more comprehensive for treating your entire lipid profile than Bios Life.
Before you get Alzheimer's Disease, do your blood test today and start start using BiosLife before you forget your lovely family and where you kept your fortune.

My uncle had a heart attack - not his first but his final
My closest uncle at 69, had a fatal heart attack yesterday.
It wasn't his first one, but it was certainly his last. My Jakarta
trip planned April 3-5 is cancelled for the funeral tomorrow.
While he enjoyed a fulfilling life, his final year, was when he
had to give up all the pleasures, that he used to enjoy so much.
There is always sadness, but there cannot be life, if there is no death.
I am glad that we had so much fun times together. His cycle is
complete and I just wished he had listened to me and used his
BiosLife - who knows, he could have extended his life for another
15 years and continue to enjoy the things he loved so much.
Heart attack is a circulation problem and can be prevented, by
raising your HDL, to clean our the deposits in your arteries. Do
your cholesterol test today, because you too can add 15 years
and still enjoy the greatest gift we have - making life better for others.
